Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assure compliance of life safety regulations, based on state specific requirements. This includes staff training, documentation and complete record keeping.
  • Routinely inspect the physical plant and provide routine preventative maintenance within recommended routines. Inspections should be documented completion, repairs logged and completed. All repairs should coincide with Fields Senior Living standards.
  • Routinely coordinate, direct and document required fire drills and training. Including annual full inspections and inservice with employees.
  • Establish and maintain schedule of service of equipment and systems.
  • On a routine basis, inspection of resident’s apartments. Ensuring cleanliness and documenting needed repairs. Repairs should be done in a timely manner and communication to nursing team on any unsafe living conditions.
  • Maintain outside yard care, whether performed by facility staff or contract service
  • Maintain facility to meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Turn apartments when move outs occur within 72 hours of move outs. Ensure walk through of apartment is done prior to move out.
  • Ordering of all Plant Operations supplies and products, maintaining budget.
  • Oversight of housekeeping services. Leading the housekeeping supervisor and team to success. Ensuring apartments and common areas are cleaned to Fields Senior Living standards.
  • Complete work orders within 48 hours of submission. Documented and followed up with resident, staff or family.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Additional Functions:

  • Must possess qualities of leadership, tact, and adaptability to change. Must be neat in appearance, pleasant personality, be congenial to fellow team members, residents, families, and the public in general. Must be capable of using own judgement and initiative in daily duties.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Must be detail and team-work oriented.
  • Must attend required in-services/ workshops to further education of skills and community requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Must be Drug free and submit to Urinary Analysis Drug screening upon hire.
  • Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check, Health Screening including TB test.
  • Must be eighteen (18) years old.
  • Have working knowledge of electrical systems, air conditioning systems, heating systems, intercom systems, fire detention systems, plumbing, water and sewage systems, and maintenance of generator.
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude and be able to perform general maintenance in electrical, plumbing and carpentry areas.
  • Maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • A passion for helping seniors, especially those living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease.
  • Experience working with Dementia residents.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing in standard English.
  • Able to work all shifts to ensure staffing coverage when needed.
  • The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

  • Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the workday; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach.
  • Must be willing to be active and on feet during entire work shift.
  • Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities.
  • Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items
