The SAP IT Project Manager position will be working with one of our premier clients on providing support to their project team by managing project scheduling, tracking issue management, risk management, change management, and status reporting throughout the project lifecycle. This position will be responsible for multiple project tracks simultaneously. This position is hybrid.
Responsibilities:- Partner and collaborate with multiple stakeholders at various levels of management including IT vendors, Telecom, Cybersecurity, Change & Release Management, Service Management, Finance, Supply Chain and Operations.
- Manage all stages of the project life cycle, using a high level of knowledge and experience in blending traditional project management principles and practices with an Agile development approach to fit large, complex, mission-critical, projects.
- Manage project schedule and budget including cost plans, invoices, estimates, and work orders; develop 90% confidence in project estimates.
- Accountable for management of scope for the project(s) assigned and gaining agreement and approval of scope changes with customer representatives and affected stakeholders.
- Manage both Waterfall and Agile projects and perform as Scrum Master.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and customer representatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related issues and resolution of issues.
- Identify and manage project risk and develops risk mitigation strategies, track to closure.
- Ensure team adjust and revise estimates when necessary.
- Anticipate issues and proactively address them. Resolve conflicts with sensitivity and tact.
- Responsible for project compliance with standards and procedures.
- Responsible for the capture and reporting of required project management metrics.
- Accountable for the final project management evaluation review with stakeholders for approval upon program completion.
- Conduct periodic meetings with project team (E2 and business stakeholders) to review status and coordinate activities.
- Manage engagement/relationship with Delivery Managers and ensure project status, financials, schedule, risks, and issues, are being communicated and appropriately addressed.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ten (10) or more years of professional work experience managing suppliers, service contracts, project metrics, and contracts to meet project objectives.
- Domain expertise: SAP, AWS, Mobile
- Technical experience is required.
- Management style: Hands-on and great communication and interpersonal skills for negotiation, collaboration, and organization.
- Experience managing project quality, including quality assurance, metrics, and quality controls.
- Professional work experience managing suppliers, service contracts, project metrics, and contracts to meet project objectives.
- Experience working in the utility industry.
- Experience with Agile project management tools
- Experience working in test automation and/or DevOps.
