Overview
Position Overview: Our organization continues to grow and as part of that, we're looking for an IT Project Manager. In this role, you will play a key role in a technology transformation consisting of working on multiple different streams of workflows for new applications, including both out of box and customized applications. You will be instrumental in the planning, coordinating, and executing of strategic technology programs within our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, managing resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful program delivery within budget, time, and scope.
This position can be primarily virtual/remote/work from home, however there will be some days where you're needed in the office, so we need you to be local to the San Diego area.
How you'll make an impact

  • Overall oversight of the transformation program; serve as the liaison for the overall program
  • Develop and manage the program plan, including timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical specialists, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment and communication.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues that may impact the program's success.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on program status and seek input as needed.
  • Ensure program deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Build a plan, determine, and manage project expenses within the allocated budget, and manage risks and issues to the health of the project.
  • Participate in the development and presentation of proposals for Product Vendor selection, etc.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on program outcomes.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and program metrics to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to advise leadership on strategic technology investments.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IT governance policies and procedures.

About You
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project/program management.
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (we're a hybrid Agile-Waterfall approach).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Proficient in project management tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with IT governance frameworks and best practices is a plus.
