SCOPE - SALES REPRESENTATIVE - EDUCATION
Reporting to the Director and working closely with Regional Sales Managers, will complete internal training and will increase sales for the division in the assigned region. Ensures all resources are utilized to their full potential, both inside and outside of the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - SALES REPRESENTATIVE - EDUCATION
- Account Planning and Development
- Identify opportunities for sales and menu placements on bids and off bids.
- Work closely with the JTM K12 Bid Team in reviewing bid documents and sharing information pertaining to bid opportunities.
- Review K12 balances for appropriate year-to-date usage.
- Utilize Salesforce in documenting sales effort.
- Report on Marketing spend in territory.
- Food Show/Food Cuttings Support
- Complete ServSafe Certification
- Understand all aspects of Product knowledge.
- Nutritional data of existing products.
- Production processes.
- Federal Regulation 76 FR 2494, Nutrition Standards in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
- USDA diversion process and USDA Foods allocation and ordering cycles.
- Product Training
- Assist in coordinating Product Training for internal and external staff on new and existing School items as necessary.
- Bid placement.
- Show product for strategic placement on bids.
- Work closely with existing brokers to ensure market penetration.
- Attend regional and national conferences (SNA, ACDA).
- Manage warehouse inventories at various locations within assigned region.
- Travel required: 25 – 75% each week.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS - SALES REPRESENTATIVE - EDUCATION
- Minimum four-year college degree, preferable in business
- Ability to build strong relationships, provide excellent customer service, and problem solving.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects.
- Effective communication skills with internal and external associates.
- Computer literate with spreadsheet capabilities.
