Safety Training Assistant Manager

GLOVIS EV Logistics America LLC is an integrated logistics company located in Savannah, Georgia. We provide Tier 1 logistic, warehousing and inventory services to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA). GLOVIS EV Logistics America was established on October 6, 2022.
Department: Vehicle Processing Center (VPC)
Reports to: Manager of VPC Operations
Job Summary: Oversee the Heath, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program to ensure proper training of Glovis employees, subcontractors, and associates to ensure a safe workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Program to ensure proper training of Glovis employees, subcontractors, and associates to ensure a safe workplace.
- Manage OSHA, ISO, Worker's Compensation, and Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) Training programs.
- Lead training sessions for new hire orientation, equipment certification, OSHA regulations, and EPA guidelines.
- Maintain logs and records required by OSHA and support Worker's Compensation insurance reporting.
- Monitor Return to Work program to reduce lost time resulting from work-related injuries.
- Oversee post-accident drug and alcohol testing programs.
- Conduct internal and external safety audits to reinforce safe work practices and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Schedule quarterly inspections of emergency response system, fire alarm, and fire sprinkler system to meet local, state, and federal regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Minimum of 5 years safety experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills required.
- Experience with MS Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is highly preferred.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities required.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items. The estimated base salary range for this job is $85,900-$93,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
