Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental health and safety (EHS) programs, policies, and procedures - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with applicable regulations - Provide training and education to employees on EHS topics, including emergency response procedures, hazard communication, and personal protective equipment - Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions - Maintain records and prepare reports on EHS performance, including incident statistics, training completion rates, and compliance status - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address EHS concerns and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization - Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in EHS management - Assist in the development of emergency response plans and participate in drills and exercises
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of EPA regulations and other relevant environmental health and safety standards - Ability to fabricate solutions to address EHS challenges in a practical and cost-effective manner - Experience in workers' compensation claims management and return-to-work programs - Skilled in training development and delivery on EHS topics - Excellent report writing skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Minimum of 2 years of related health and safety experience in general industry or construction.
Intermediate in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Comprehensive understanding of environmental, health and safety management practices, principles, and procedures.
Must exhibit passion for safety compliance and environmental controls.
Preferred: BS degree in EH&S discipline or equivalent Engineering or Science degree.
Preferred: Bilingual. Able to read, write and speak in Spanish.
