RV Service Manager
We are a full-service RV Dealer looking for a Service Manager to develop within our newest location! The ideal Service Manager will have a strong work ethic and be able to cover all duties within the service department as the business grows. Must be a dedicated team player!
Responsibilities
- Schedule work in and out of the shop
- Hire, supervise and direct all service technicians and apprentices as approved by GM
- Ensure that all parts, tools and appropriate time is available for technicians to complete the work
- Direct and Supervise Service Desk Personnel with training and coaching mentality
- Direct and Supervise Parts Manager and personnel and assist in proper parts procedures and policies
- Direct and supervise Warranty Administrator to process warranty claims in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure that all employees under their supervision receive the proper training and upgrading of systems.
- Liaison between Service Advisors and Sales
- Must acquire approval from sales department on all Internal RO’S
- Track Technician productivity
- Track Open Repair Order Reports and others as directed
- Responsible for a profitable operation of the service department while gaining maximum production under controllable costs
- Setting and maintaining profit goals.
- Maintains a balance between shop efficiency, labor rates, and expenses
- Assist the Service Advisors in the dispatch of work to correct technicians and or work with the shop foreman to do the same
- Responsible for the cleanliness and safety of the service department and shop
- Lead by example
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical RV Service knowledge
- Previous management experience
- Maintain a positive atmosphere
- Stability under pressure
- Creative and open to constant change
- Knowledge and technical expertise
- Able to display leadership skills and manage others accordingly
- RVIA/RVDA certifications - preferred
