Position: Rooms Controller Supervisor
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Reports to: Front Office Manager
Status: non-exempt
Job Summary:
As a Rooms Controller Supervisor, you will be responsible for efficiently managing guest requests and ensuring seamless operations within the accommodation facilities. Utilizing our internal communication systems, such as Lightspeed and Marsha, you will navigate guest inquiries and facilitate room assignments based on preferences, VIP status, and internal/external requests. Administrative duties include pre-registering designated guests, coordinating group arrivals, managing room changes, confirming reservations, and maintaining accurate billing records. Your role will also involve ensuring adherence to market rates, addressing guest concerns, and maintaining daily reports to optimize service delivery.

Essential Functions:

• Assign guest rooms according to preferences and requests
• Coordinate with housekeeping, front desk, and engineering teams for timely room allocations
• Facilitate group check-ins and pre-registration processes
• Maximize room revenue through strategic room assignments
• Provide assistance and support to team members as needed
• Maintain flexibility in job duties
• Support daily operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries
• Represent the Autograph brand by embodying its values in guest interactions

Hotel Performance:

• Ensure exceptional guest experiences through efficient service delivery

Qualification Standards:
Education & Experience:

• Previous experience in reservations or front desk roles preferred
• Basic knowledge of Lightspeed and Marsha systems required
• Associates degree or higher preferred
• Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills
• Proficiency in technology usage (e.g., tablets, iPads)

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs
• Clear communication abilities
• Normal range of corrected vision
• Willingness to work extended hours as needed

Mental Demands:

• Ability to make quick, sound judgments
• Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Provide and receive direction within a team environment
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Perform effectively under pressure
