Position Summary:

The Room Quality Control will report directly to the Building Manager.

Core responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

This position is primarily responsible to provide Vacation Village standards of cleanliness and quality assurance to all units and ensure that the accommodations are maintained to the highest quality standards and kept in excellent condition.

Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a friendly, professional, cheerful, and courteous demeanor always
  • Always Ensures Outstanding customer care
  • Reviews daily inventory of rooms, arrivals, and departures.
  • Reviews daily inventory of supplies needed to complete the assignments for the day.
  • Perform quality Inspections to meet required standards within set time limits.
  • Comply with all resort safety guidelines.
  • Pick up ground litter around the resort or whatever visible.
  • Inspecting Vacation Village accommodations according including but not limited to:
    1. Inspecting the kitchen in its entirety, including all dishes, cabinets, and appliances, as well as making sure they all work and verifying the counts.
    2. Inspecting the bathrooms, in its entirety, checking shower and sinks, including all cabinets and drawers, as well verifying that there are no leaks or damages.
    3. Checking all beds and insuring they are made with fresh sheets and blankets, including sofa bed
    4. Inspecting all bedrooms, verify all furniture and décor is dusted, it is clean under beds, in all drawers, all windows and mirrors. Verify that there are no damages and all TV’s, and lights work.
    5. Inspect the living room, verify all furniture and décor is dusted. Inspect all windows, picture frames and any spots spilled on the furniture. Verify that there are no stains, damages, and all TV’s work.
    6. Inspect the balcony, including windows, and all furniture. Verify condition of furniture. Check for damages.
    7. Inspect floors- verify that housekeeper swept and mopped the entire unit, making sure they got all corners and edges.
  • Report all damages via email to FD Management, Building Managers, Maintenance and Housekeeping immediately.
  • Report all maintenance items via Building Engines system.
  • May perform similar duties as requested by supervisor.
  • Occasional duties or projects which may be performed at irregular intervals:
    1. Inspect maid services for guests requesting additional services while staying on Property.
    2. Inspect VIP cleaning services for VIP guests.
    3. Inspect Annual deep clean treatments of the units.
  • Attends meetings as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management

Position Requirements (Skills/Abilities):

Experience:

Three to five years of hospitality-related management experience is required. Timeshare or Resort management experience highly desirable. Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; communicate effectively at all levels; and demonstrate the ability to analyze and resolve problems. Must possess significant computer software program experience, especially Excel and Word.

Education: High School diploma or GED required.

Flexible Scheduling: Must be able to work Evenings, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is required to use his/her hands and fingers to feel, and reach for objects of various sizes, shapes, and weight. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

The employee will occasionally be required to climb a step ladder or balance and, to talk, hear and/or smell. The employee must occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move 10-25 lbs. Specific Vision abilities required for this job include Close vision, Distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus in various settings. Good Customer Service skills are a must.

This position is highly visible in all resort areas, team members must present a clean professional appearance and must adhered to Daily Management, Inc., Local Standard Operating Procedures-Standards of Appearance.
