Resource Coordinator
Location: Columbia, MO
Job Status: Full-time
Starting Salary: $40,000
Reports to: Direct Service Program Supervisor
Job Summary: The Resource Coordinator will oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of our ongoing programs, including planning, organizing, and delivering tangible goods to families in need. The Resource Coordinator works in all 24 counties served by CMFCAA to provide direct resources including respite events, vouchers, life skills for older youth, special requests, begin again backpacks, and any other direct service resource available.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Works to plan and supervise all programs in accordance to the mission, goals, and strategic plan of CMFCAA.
- Take lead in planning education events.
- Build and maintain relationships with area partners and donors.
- Sourcing, Processing, and Organizing the Trunk Clothing Closet donations (Free Clothing Resource for Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship Families)
- Resource and Referral Program (includes Begin Again Backpacks, providing tangible goods to families in need)
- Farmers Market Vouchers, Family Care Packs, Back to School Supplies, etc.
- Maintains records that document program activities and client usage of program activities for statistical, reporting, and grant securing purposes.
- Work as a team with other Coordinators to ensure successful programs and services to the families served.
- Must maintain communication between participants of programs and CMFCAA.
- Must recruit, engage, and retain volunteers for appropriate program activities.
- Must participate in public presentations of CMFCAA programs and services as needed.
- Travel is required to each program/event held within the service counties.
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in human service related field is preferred
- Proven experience in human service related field
- Working knowledge of office equipment (computers, printers, fax machines, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel)
- Proficiency in the use of computer programs (databases, spreadsheets, bookkeeping, email)
- Able to be trained quickly (specifically on iMac systems)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to be flexible in work hours including some evening and weekend appointments.
- Must be able to work with families and children from all backgrounds, I.e., rural/urban and educated or less educated populations
