Job Purpose
The Residential Coordinator is responsible for managing residential trash routes, equipment, inventory, and complying with DOT regulations. The main goal for this role is to ensure routes are completed in a timely, safe, and efficient manner, drivers are in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations while providing an exceptional level of customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Residential Coordinator is a hands-on leadership role. This role requires strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of routing efficiency, DOT regulations, problem-solving, exceptional customer service skills, and sales. The Residential Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and profitability of routes while ensuring exceptional service delivery to customers.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the residential team, ensuring alignment with the company's core values, goals and objectives.
- Foster a culture of safety, excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the line of business.
- Develop and implement efficient route strategies and procedures to optimize performance, employee development, and maximize profitability.
Route Management and Process Improvement:
- Oversee day-to-day residential routes and identify areas for improvement to enhance productivity.
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to optimize routes and drivers’ time.
- Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with the Residential Manager concerning needs for additional assets or personnel needs.
Customer Service:
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Oversee the repair of any customer’s property that may have been damaged during the course of business.
- Communicate with municipalities to provide service reports, work order processing and verification, and ensure satisfactory service.
- Oversee delivery of containers to new customers as well as removal of assets from departing customers property.
· Financial Analysis and Planning:
- Provide recommendations and strategies to improve profitability, reduce expenses, and increase operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
· Minimum 2 years of experience
· CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
· Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
· Demonstrable competency in customer relations
· Sound financial acumen and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data
· Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills
· Strong moral and ethical principles
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Knowledge of statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to company business
· Proficient understanding of business sensitivities and confidentiality
Working Conditions
The Residential Coordinator may work in various conditions and can be exposed to extreme heat, cold, humidity, precipitation, dusty conditions, mechanical parts, electrical hazards, hazardous chemicals, and noxious fumes and odors in both indoor and outdoor environments. Travel and working in various locations may be required occasionally.

This position oversees the Residential Drivers, Administrators, and Customer Service Representatives.

Pay: $43,500.00 - $52,000.00 per year
