JOB SUMMARY
The Aidun lab is seeking a Research Engineer (open rank) to join their team. Dr. Aidun’s research is at the intersection between fundamentals of the physics of complex fluids/thermal transport and applications to engineering and bio transport.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design and development and get trained on the software and DCS system provided by Valmet for the MP Forming platform (MPFP).
- Manage the MPFP including start-up, routine operation, housekeeping, and maintenance.
- Plan and manage operation of the MPFP to produce the samples and results required for sponsored projects that depend on this system.
- Participate in teaching advanced paper manufacturing including hands on training on the MPFP.
- Manage paper sample preparation and testing.
- Manage the paper testing lab at Renewable Bioproducts Institute (RBI).
- Participate in proposal preparation.
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory activities.
