The Role
Pinetree Therapeutics is seeking a self-motivated Research Associate I/II for basic laboratory research including:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- 1+ year(s) of mammalian cell culture experience.
- Produce and test novel constructs.
- Characterize gene and protein expression in mammalian cells with techniques like western blotting, flow cytometry, microscopy, qPCR, and ELISA.
- Contribute to experimental design and optimization efforts.
- Adhere to and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary.
- Collaborate in the generation and screening of novel therapeutics.
- Keep a detailed electronic lab notebook and ensure accurate registration of constructs and biologics.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in a biology-related science or equivalent with 1-2 years of laboratory experience in an academic or industry setting.
- Familiar with basic laboratory procedures and cell culture techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a high level of organization.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in a variety of molecular and cell-based assays.
- Knowledge in protein formulation, stability studies, and analytical analyses
- Hands-on experience with in vivo animal studies is a plus.
- Familiarity with the drug discovery and development process.
- Highly motivated, with a strong desire to learn and contribute to team science.
- Exceptional work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to data quality.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to ask questions and curiosity about the work performed are a must
Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
