Job description

Red Wine & Blue is Hiring a Remote Reporting Analyst

Department: Data

Job Status: Regular - Full-time

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports to: Head of Data

Salary Level: TBD

Amount of Travel Required: Occasional

Location: Remote

Positions Supervised: None

WHO WE ARE:

Red Wine & Blue is a national community of diverse suburban women working together to defeat extremism, one friend at a time (best explained by this Washington Post profile, ‘Blue’ suburban moms are mobilizing to counter conservatives and this NYT episode of “The Daily,” Why Suburban Women Changed Their Minds). We use digital media and friend-to-friend organizing to fight disinformation and win campaigns in the most contested places in America. We are seeking a full-time Reporting Analyst to collect, analyze and compile information in order for our teams to tell a compelling story and make informed, data-driven decisions.

WHO YOU ARE: You are a naturally curious puzzle solver, excited by bringing together data to help tell a clear and effective story of Red Wine & Blue to broad audiences.

This role does not directly supervise any team members and reports to the Head of Data. This is a full-time position that can be performed from anywhere in one of our 13 current operating states (FL, GA, IA, IL, MI, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TX, VA) and Washington, D.C. Occasional travel is required for in-person meetings and all-staff gatherings.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Gather and compile relevant data, including from internal databases, surveys and external data sets
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to provide insights into Red Wine & Blue’s impact and key metrics, telling a compelling story of our work and our impact for stakeholders
  • Create visually appealing and easy-to-understand charts, graphs, and dashboards to communicate data-driven insight
  • Utilize statistical techniques and predictive modeling to forecast future trends and outcomes based on historical data
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, patterns and areas for improvement contributing to strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to understand data and provide relevant insight.
  • Speak to complex data and analytics in a way that is engaging for non-data thinkers and translate data into actionable and understandable insights
  • Prepare and submit data-driven reports for grant applications and donor communications, highlighting the impact of outcomes of RWB’s programs.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support on data tools for internal RWB teams
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’VE GOT:

  • Education & Experience - You have experience with SQL or other scripting languages and can build reports in Looker, Tableau or other data visualization programs. Prior experience working with political campaign data is a huge plus. Experience leveraging campaign tools like EveryAction/Van, Scale to Win, or Strive is preferred.
  • Inclusive - You can work effectively with people regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, political background or job type.
  • Flexible - You are comfortable navigating sometimes ambiguous work with competing priorities. You are nimble and can effectively shift focus when the need arises. You understand that this work comes with peaks and there may be longer hours during peak time with election season.
  • Organized & Productive - You have the ability to radically prioritize tasks and plan your days to meet goals. You are able to work independently as well as part of a team and are proactive in identifying gaps in efficiency, challenges or themes and making suggestions to improve our work.
  • Growth Mindset - You have the ability to fail fast and win fast because you know that we learn as much from failure as we do success. You are not afraid to take risks, think outside the box and give or receive feedback.
  • Playfully Passionate: Your ability to get sh*t done is accompanied by your love for fun. You understand that we can do serious work without taking ourselves too seriously.

WHAT WE OFFER: The starting salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 per year and is commensurate with related experience. We have a commitment to promoting pay equity and diligently strive to ensure equitable compensation for all team members, regardless of their gender, race, or other demographic backgrounds. In addition to offering a competitive salary, we contribute 75% towards employee medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums. Our organization, led by mothers, is family-friendly, covering a substantial portion of dependent premiums and allowing for flexible work schedules. We provide paid vacation, sick, personal and wellness time off, as well as a generous holiday schedule, including a one-week winter break. We enthusiastically encourage applications from women, people of color, individuals with disabilities, non-binary candidates, and LGBTQIA candidates.

All Red Wine & Blue staff members work 100% remotely, running virtual operations nationally and on the ground in five states. Candidates that reside in one of our current 13 operating states (FL, GA, IA, IL, MI, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TX, VA) and Washington, D.C are encouraged to apply. At this time we are not considering international or candidates outside of our operating area.

APPLICATION: Interested candidates should submit their application here to apply. You’ll be asked to include a resume and cover letter describing specifically why you want to work at Red Wine & Blue (we’re unique – we want to know why you think you’d love it here. Have fun!)

The selection process for this role for advancing candidates will include a screening call, one on one interview with the hiring manager, a technical assessment and a final panel interview. We anticipate the process could take up to 60 days from screening to start date.

The final day to apply for this role is Friday, February 2nd. If you have questions regarding the posted position, please email people@redwine.blue.
