Responsibilities & Requirements:
The clinical Office Supervisor oversees the clerical and billing operations of their designated outpatient rehabilitation departments. The duties may include: responsible for supervising all office assistants and performs annual evaluations and ESL conversations, provides trainings to new and current clerical staff, ensures effective & efficient office processes, assists with ordering of front office supplies, manages the clerical schedules, is cross trained in all front desk and billing functions, helps to maintain HFAP and HIPPA compliance, monitors denial reports, audits WQs, and reviews insurance and billing codes changes. The clinical Office Supervisor also assists in maintaining a positive work environment and works with the management team on employee engagement initiatives. The Office Supervisor assists the director and managers with projects for the outpatient rehab department; acts as a liaison between department staff/management and various “Customers” of the department’s services including patients/families and community agencies. Completes other duties as assigned by the rehab leadership team.
Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent customer service communication skills dealing tactfully and effectively with others; Ability to be flexible, adapt to change, and work under stress; Possess excellent written and verbal skills; Ability to follow procedures, adhere to details, problem solve, and be innovative; Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public; Ability to lead others; Ability to multi-task with excellent follow through on all tasks; Knowledge of EPIC; Possess characteristics of strong organizational skills, dependability, and versatility; (Preferred skills) Knowledge of billing procedures; Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred work experience: two years supervisory experience in business office, preferably medical office.
