Regional Sales Manager - Eastern Texas

Barcode is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Regional Sales Manager to join our growing Sales department. This hire has a passion for talking to retail customers and managing distribution partners in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, DFW areas. This position reports to the CEO & COO. This role is responsible for sales outreach, maintaining a healthy base of accounts in the region (HEB, Central Market, Buccees, Tom Thumb, Randalls, etc.), prospecting for new accounts in the region and presenting their findings to the company. The position requires a candidate with a good understanding of Texas distro and retail contacts in the beverage category, large format sales, and a proven track record of working under pressure while meeting deadlines. This individual understands how to properly communicate with internal employees and outside partners, efficiently multitask, apply critical thinking.
THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
●Sales Forecasting - Estimate door acquisition targets on a monthly basis and help the operations team in determining manufacturing needs on a quarterly basis.
●Maintain and/or increase profitable sales growth within their region against assigned budgets and plans.
●Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve/exceed sales targets and to expand the company’s customer base through new and expanded distribution opportunities.
●Conduct weekly sales activity (current accounts & prospect accounts) and sales pipeline reporting via the systems and software assigned via management.
●Effective management of the sales process and budgets for your region.
●Understand and make positive contributions to activities in other regions.
● Manage promotional pricing, distributor impact, and account specific events.
●Understand and align brand strategies with account plans.
● Provide input on account capabilities to marketing in the development of brand and account strategies.
●Execute promotional plans within budget.
●Analyze available data to understand trends at the account.
●Manage communication to distribution providers and act as the main liaison for the brand.
●Direct distributors on account priorities and account specific projects.
●Attend and participate in weekly company KPIs, webinars, conference call updates and email communications.
●Work with Marketing to develop promotional, demo, and marketing programs at the customer to drive short and long term growth.
THE QUALIFIERS
● You bring a minimum of 1 year in a food & beverage sales role
● Effective communication to collaborate with departments and manage distributors / retailers
● Self starter that depends on an organized calendar
● Obsessed with tracking performance KPIs and self-improvement
● A people person that knows how to get along with everyone
● Possesses the ability to work independently, document your work and manage working between multiple documents simultaneously.
● Ability to manage and prioritize many territories concurrently, while also managing internal and external expectations for workload
● Be responsive to email and text communication to confirm activities, schedules and progress, within pre-set and agreed time frames.
● Demonstrates writing competency to communicate specific technical, functional concepts via email and project documentation tools.
