The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, target-driven, strategic-minded professional with proven account experience, outside sales rep. management experience, has a strong desire to cultivate a supportive and collaborative team dynamic, and has the skill set to plan, strategize, and see opportunity for the future as well as handle day-to-day management and urgent matters.
The ideal candidate recognizes that success in this role is going to be largely dependent on the ability to build relationships. You understand success includes both sales performance and top-notch customer satisfaction and experience. Therefore, you enjoy building relevant, authentic, and personalized relationships with the team and outside sales representatives which pours over to customers, and that translates to brand loyalty, energy, and excitement.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of independent and/or account management experience ideally within the Outdoors/Sporting Goods channel
- 3+ years of Outside sales agencies and team management experience
- Line review & promotional planning experience
- Strong understanding of sell in programs and sell through programs
- Ability to organize, communicate, and prioritize workload to accomplish varying activities and meet deadlines; the ability to go from strategic planning to “getting your hands dirty”
- Strong verbal and written communicator for a wide range of audiences; from presenting to accounts to leading cross functional team huddles
- Ability to nurture and contribute to innovation and creative solutions: A mindset that no idea is too wild
- Define and achieve sales goals, budgets and margin targets
- Lead outside agencies in performance, presentations, training, expectations, and go to market strategies
- Submit monthly and quarterly sales recaps outlining the wins and losses
- Work directly with key accounts to ensure proper service levels are maintained, special projects are executed, and promotional displays are implemented..
- Ideate and execute initiatives that drive higher lead conversion and break into key accounts, in a creative, cost-effective way
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and ensure delivery of goals
- Recommend new or improved selling strategies to support each accounts overall goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain solid working relationships with Merchants, Supply Chain Teams and Store Operations Teams
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job related experience
- 5+ years independent / regional account management
- 3+ years of outside agency management experience
- Experience calling on Regional Retailers
- Strong attention to detail, thorough and high sense of urgency
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships to ensure brand loyalty through frictionless customer service
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- This position is a remote position
- $60-70K base + 45% on target bonus ($110K)
