Regional Sales Manager K12
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: This role will own all aspects of regional performance (keep & grow base, get new, achieve KPIs) for focus products (Gold Kist - Value Added) in the defined territories.
This position will be remote (home office) and cover the North Central region, including the following states; ND, SD, NE, IA, MN, WI, IL, IN, MI, OH.
Responsibilities:
  • Sales Leader for the Region: Be subject matter expert for Pilgrim's/Gold Kist brands, developing relationships with key/strategic accounts, manage the broker & deliver KPIs.
  • The 'Face of Pilgrim's': responsible for face-to-face execution of Pilgrim's sales strategies against K12 school customers in assigned region, attend relevant trade shows, and engage with industry leadership.
  • Build & Execute Pipeline: develop comprehensive "book of business" to achieve regional objectives. Know your strategy need to be to win against competition.
  • Practice Consultative Selling: Needs based selling that brings solutions to customers and drives thought leadership in the customer segment.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Understand products' features and benefits, know your competition, communicate the value proposition & provide internal cross-functional feedback to grow the business.
  • K12 Bid Management: provide in-depth bid analysis, use the information to develop a growth strategy, and effectively manage the process.
  • Know Your Business: leverage CRM to understand sales data, understand what is driving trends, and manage a pipeline to close gaps. Responsible for monthly report-out with tactical plans.
  • Forecast Your Demand: understand your run-rate, won/lost business, coordinate with demand planning to help service customers and grow the business.
  • Be Present & Engaged: assist cross-functional teams, be proactive, address needs, engage regionally, collaborate constantly and ensure alignment with all stakeholders to drive results.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
  • >7 years of sales experience in CPG required.
  • K12 experience required; prior poultry experience preferred
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining business relationships with accounts in region.
  • This position requires ability to travel. Must be able to fly or drive from city to city.
  • Understanding of internet navigation for research. And knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint are required. Skills to assimilate into company computer system requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups of individuals within and outside of the company.
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $101,000 - $125,000; and
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
