The System Administrator manages the day-to-day maintenance of the reconciliation software system, including user access, data mapping, and reporting functions. This role assists in ensuring efficient reconciliation functions are in effect that meet current and future business needs within the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages the day-to-day administration of the reconciliation software.
- Conducts ongoing reviews of the Reconciliation System access to ensure that users and rights are appropriate.
- Develops, continuously refines, and conducts user training on the Reconciliation System
- Manages system releases and performs appropriate testing before deploying into production to ensure there are no major interruptions in the department's operations and that the releases reflect accurate data.
- Monitors system performance and configuration to ensure optimal performance and maximum data integrity.
- Serves as liaison between end users and IT staff for problem resolution on the reconciliation application.
- Sets up new users on the Reconciliation System and assign to appropriate groups within the system.
- Assists in maintaining the general ledger reconciliation certification process for the company and all subsidiaries.
- Assists in the conversion/consolidation of acquisitions and system changes, related to reconciliation policies and procedures regarding the Reconciliation System.
- Monitors and implements into the Reconciliation System newly opened general ledger and internal bank accounts.
- Maintains and creates system generated reports and their email distribution chains.
- Supports auditors in the completion of their audits/exams. Works to draft written responses and/or implement actions.
- Works to develop and document effective policies and procedures related to the Reconciliation System.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Information Technology or equivalent work experience and/or certification required
- 3-5 years Accounting and or Finance experience required
- Experience in systems administration or data analysis preferred
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize required
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues preferred
- High attention to detail at handling multiple competing priorities required
- Effective oral and written communication skills required
- Ability to effectively and efficiently manage system workflow preferred
- Ability to interact with various levels within the organization required
