Job Description
A Systems Administrator is a subject matter expert for designated programs and responsible for provisioning, supporting and/or coordinating installation & configuration, operation, maintenance and updating of the software, workflows and related infrastructure.
This individual participates in technical research and business analysis to enable continuing innovation and is responsible for ensuring the systems and related procedures adhere to organizational values while enabling staff, volunteers, and partners.
This role is often engaged in both project delivery as well as operational support. The ideal applicant will have print MIS/ERP application admin experience with operational expertise. This role may also participate in research and technical analysis for new needs related to the same systems that are assigned for support/oversight.
• Provide system leadership, technical support, user support, technical orientation, and technical education activities to project teams and staff in areas of assigned oversight.
• Partnering with plants to gather requirements to formulate business specifications and translating those into application functionality.
• Documenting workflows and results of business analysis and obtaining sign-off on requirements.
• Have experience of at least one ERP package, either as an admin or as a power end user
• Manage Support desk tickets or ongoing support of application.
• Provide internal training of feature / enhancement or workflows from end to end for all relevant products to end users and help desk staff.
• Creation of training and process workflow documentation.
• Conduct training for system use and process workflows.
• Troubleshooting and issue resolution/remediation
• Work closely with software vendor’s support team and be able to document replication steps for issues or specifications for software changes.
• Contribute to and maintain system standards.
· Research, develop, and implement innovative and where possible automated approaches for system or users’ tasks.
· Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
· Experience with report writing (Crystal, SQL) a plus.
1.Training and Implementationsa. Travel to plant locations as needed for system implementations. This involves training end users and management in how to use the system. Also creating workflows for the plants to standardize certain aspects of the system for Enterprise use and reporting. b. Conduct both remote and on-site training sessions for users to learn the systems.c. Work with implementation team to set up new plants in the system and all that goes with implementing a new system.2. Regular Monitoring and Maintenancea. Use monitoring tools and log analysis to detect issues and proactively engage technical support if needed.b. Coordinate maintenance activities for vendor updates, patches, and hotfixes for the software, in accordance with Mittera’s patch management policy. c. Facilitate testing and approval for system updates and patches to ensure that they are working correctly.3. Security and Access Controla. Ensure that security measures are in place and regularly updated to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.b. Validate application access is in line with enterprise access control policies and procedures to restrict access to sensitive data and applications.c. Regularly perform security audits to identify vulnerabilities and address security issues.4. Documentation and Reportinga. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of training documentation and workflow documentation.b. Maintain Enterprise SharePoint documentation site with latest versions of documentation and any other relevant information.c. Provide regular status reports as needed by management.
