Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors at the front desk
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with medical office tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address their inquiries or concerns promptly
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a front desk receptionist, preferably in a dental office setting
- Familiarity with denta scheduling software such as eaglesoft
- Proficient in using office equipment including phone systems and computers
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
