Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist

Pay Rate: $18.00 - 20.00 per hour

Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly

Position Objective

The receptionist is the first impression of the store to our customers. The receptionist is primarily responsible for: greeting customers in a friendly manner, compliantly checking IDs in accordance with MED laws and regulations, scanning customers into the POS system, organizing customer queues, signing in visitors to the guest log, communicating product assortment to consumers, upholding Schwazze SOPs, and maintaining cleanliness of the lobby and front of the store area. In addition, the receptionist is responsible for always maintaining a clean and professional appearance. The receptionist answers phone calls in a professional and courteous manner and directs calls to appropriate members of the retail team if needed.

Major Functions

Checking IDs

• Recognizes fraudulent ID cards by maintaining familiarity with IDs from all over the country.
• Confirms ID information by scanning IDs into the POS system and ensuring it matches the scanner's information.
• Upholds MED laws and company SOPs regarding valid forms of ID.
• Refuses entry to customers without a valid ID or who are underage.

Organizing Customer Queues

• Ensures customers are seen in the order of arrival.
• Directs online ordering customers to the online checkout to minimize wait times.
• Organizes queues for safety and efficiency, preventing overcrowding or parking disruptions.

Checking in Visitors

• Uses the Visitor Log to compliantly check in visitors to limited access areas.
• Verifies with management before admitting visitors and provides visitor badges.

Customer Service

• Maintains company-wide service standards and fosters lasting customer relationships.
• Answers phone calls and emails professionally and in a friendly manner.
• Represents the company, ensuring all customers are aware of and can quickly sign up for the Loyalty program, explaining its features and benefits.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active MED badge in the state of Colorado.
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred.
• Knowledge of cannabis and its products is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic.

Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel)

• Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more multiple times per day
• The schedule will vary depending on the needs of the business.
• Nights, Weekends, and Holidays are to be expected.
