We are a well-established, privately owned dental practice with experienced staff and state-of-the-art technology. We are seeking a reliable, conscientious, and personable front office Insurance Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for a long-term member who is looking for a home. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of dental insurance knowledge and two years of experience in a professional reception setting. As a primarily digital office, an ability to learn and use software is also highly preferred. In this position, you will be responsible for scheduling and confirming patient appointments, posting procedures, collecting payments, maintaining communication with patients via phone, texts, and email, insurance verification, and end-of-day balancing. Additionally, you will be expected to attend team meetings and communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and other team members.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments
- Manage schedule by keeping appointments full
- Maintain communication via phone, text, and email
- Maintain social media posting and updates
- Insurance verification and input
- Process patient payments and co-pays
- Prepare treatment plan estimates and present treatment options
- Post insurance payments and balance at day-end
- Generate reports for re-care and unscheduled treatment and make necessary calls
Requirements:
- At least one year of dental insurance knowledge
- Two years of experience in a professional office setting
- Superb communication skills
- Reliable, conscientious, and personable
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proficiency with dental coding and insurance
- Adept at learning new things with computers/technology
- Must have Dental Front Desk experience.
Experience with Open Dentalsoftware is not required but highly preferred.
