Job description

PARR is the single and total source for home building supplies, solutions, and services for professional home builders of large and mid-sized communities and single custom homes, and for motivated homeowners working on home improvement projects. Job title: Receptionist

Pay: Starting at $17.50 to $21 an hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am to 4:30 -or- 8am to 5pm

Location: Redmond, Oregon

PARR's Receptionist will undertake administrative tasks, ensuring the rest of the staff has adequate support to work efficiently. They will ensure the proper flow of office procedures and support the company by carrying out common office duties.

This position reports to the Plant Manager and interacts daily with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English required
  • Must be able to operate a personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job
  • Must be able to type 40+ WPM
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external customers of all types
  • Must maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all information related to company finances and records, particularly, cost of goods purchased and sold
  • Ability and willingness to identify processes, tools and/or procedures that may be improved upon to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customers

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle queries via phone, email, and general correspondence
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Organize and maintain files and databases in a confidential manner
  • Arranges meetings by scheduling appropriate meeting times
  • Drafts, formats, and prints relevant documents
  • Greet internal and external customers with a pleasant and welcoming attitude
  • Scan and email documents to the corporate office
  • Maintain and order office supplies
  • Assist with special events planning
  • Complete data entry projects and various assignments given
  • Collect payment on cash customers
  • Track shipped report records
  • Ensure that jobs are being invoiced promptly and accurately
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

The primary working conditions are an office environment with a computer. This job requires work in factory conditions.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
  • Must be able to work in an office environment
