Receptionist

Shalem Photography at The Studio, is a premiere senior portrait studio specializing in fashion-forward portraiture, is seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as a Studio Receptionist. This position is from April to November with the potential for long-term employment if it's a good fit. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for every visitor to our studio.

Responsibilities:

• Answering emails and phones in a professional and timely manner, providing information and assistance to clients as needed.
• Welcoming clients, specifically seniors, by personalizing their experience: putting their name on the door, offering them a drink, and playing their favorite music to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintaining studio cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, cleaning toilets, wiping down surfaces, occasionally cleaning windows, and folding towels to ensure a tidy and welcoming environment.
• Scheduling appointments and coordinating with other team members to ensure smooth operation of studio activities.
• Scanning in forms and accurately inputting client information into our database.
• Processing payments for sessions and orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Wrapping orders and preparing them for pickup or delivery to clients.
• Tracking workflow using our internal numbers app to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Assisting with lighting setup for photo shoots as needed.
• Preparing the room for consultations and design consultations, ensuring all necessary materials are ready for client meetings.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software programs.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
