Responsibilities:
- Spearheaded the development of new technologies and complex projects, from planning and defining objectives to driving implementation and ensuring smooth delivery.
- Lead and perform technical analysis, software design, hardware development, and signal processing for sophisticated sonar systems.
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching new technologies, conducting competitive analyses, and developing improvements for existing products.
- Oversee the complete project lifecycle, from planning and execution to testing and launch, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Interact with various internal teams to define system requirements and translate them into concrete design specifications.
- Share your technical expertise clearly and concisely with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in developing software, hardware, or signal processing algorithms for sonar, acoustics, or similar fields.
- Proven experience with fixed-point arithmetic programming, phased array and beamforming algorithms, and translating functional requirements into design specifications.
- Hands-on expertise in digital signal processing concepts, FPGA programming with Verilog or VHDL, and embedded systems development.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and MATLAB.
- A track record of successfully managing complex, multi-phase projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Bonus points for:
- Experience developing commercialized Phased Array Multibeam Sonars.
- Ability to work remotely with occasional travel (locations in Alpharetta, GA or Eufaula, AL).
