Purpose & Impact:
As the Lead QA Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire quality assurance process within our organization. Your role will involve designing and implementing effective quality assurance strategies, leading a team of QA professionals, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Location Requirements: This position may be based in New York City OR based out of our home office in Sandy Springs, GA. In both locations, you will work onsite in our offices, with work from home flexibility on Fridays.
What that looks like day to day:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the QA team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement QA policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to establish quality standards for development processes.
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans based on project requirements.
- Develop and implement a robust testing strategy that includes a manual and automated testing approaches.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure test coverage aligns with project goals.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA professionals.
- Drive the implementation of test automation processes and tools.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
- Communicate QA status, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
- Work closely with the development team to address and resolve defects in a timely manner.
Required Experience:
- QA Engineer experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in test automation using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Preferred: E-Commerce experience.
