Job description

BEKO Technologies, Corp. in Atlanta is the U.S. subsidiary of the German company BEKO Technologies GmbH. We manufacture and sell compressed air technology products in North America since 1991. The subsidiary is growing at a fast pace and approaching 25 million in annual revenue. We are ISO 9001 certified and have an immediate opening for a Quality Technician.

Summary of duties:

The Quality Technician is responsible performing quality control duties as well as maintaining the Quality Management System.

The detailed duties include:

  • Perform, document and file incoming inspection of products in a timely manner
  • With supervision from the Quality Manager, develop inspection documents in cooperation w/ Engineering Department
  • Maintain documentation in SAP
  • Maintain SQC documents to make a meaningful contribution to assure and improve the product quality and process stability
  • Work proactively with all departments to identify root cause of quality escapes and assist in the development of effective corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Product failure analysis DPM to include leak-test, autopsy, SEM including sample preparation and preliminary report
  • Create and communicate quality records and certificates for customers
  • Generate quality reports for incoming inspections and process parameters to provide meaningful support for Purchasing and Quality Manager
  • Generate Yield Reports Daily
  • Maintain calibration/validation schedule; initiate, perform and/or supervise external calibrations
  • Maintain/create documentation for QMS
  • Maintain and Perform DPM Product Scanned Electron Microscope Evaluations for Release

Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in a technical field preferred
  • 3+ years in a Quality Technician position preferred

Required Competencies:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Extensive experience with measuring equipment
  • Experience with blueprint reading
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong Teamwork skills
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office suit
  • Ability to wear assigned PPE for the duration of the shift
  • Experience w/ SAP or similar ERP system strongly preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times a day
  • Gross motor skills and fine dexterity needed to perform measurements
  • Ability to work on the plant floor for approximately 60% of the time

Physical Demands:

  • Sit, stand, bend and twist, reach, push, pull, look downward (up to continuously);
  • walk, stoop, kneel (occasionally); squat, climb, foot controls (occasionally); lift/carry up to 50 pounds (occasionally); grasp manipulate small and large items/equipment (continuously).
