Quality Technician Lead

The Role

We are looking for a Lead Quality Technician who will be responsible for coordinating and planning with both Quality and Production Teams to improve upon established quality standards. In this role, the technician will ensure quality control and compliance of customer specifications of products while staying consistent with company standards of brakes, calipers, drum brakes, and transaxles. This is a supervisory position.

Responsibilities

• Creating, managing, and forwarding quality-related data and reports to management.
• Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation of parts and finished goods.
• Maintain quality objectives with company policies and goals.
• Supervises the manufacturing / assembling processes and product testing to minimize defect rates while continuously improving production efficiency.
• Participate and oversee the analysis, inspection, design, and tests (Dynamo Tests) of assigned products or components.
• Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
• Maintain processes based on IATF 16949
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Quality Director

What you need to succeed (Basic Qualifications)

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related discipline, 2-3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, OR a combination of education and work experience
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds as well as bend, reach, stoop, and/or kneel for extended periods of time
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and formulas (Vlookup, Countif, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Excellent math and analytical skills
• Six Sigma
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

How to stand out (Nice to Have)

• CAD experience
• Bilingual (English and Korean)
• Blueprint reading
• Experience with Calculus, Statistics, Trigonometry, or programming language (e.g. C++, Python, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
