Neogen is looking to hire a Quality Control Technician that will be responsible for performing laboratory tasks for the purpose of Quality Control, quality assurance, and technology transfer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure laboratory compliance with applicable regulations
- Routine testing of samples supporting incoming raw materials and finished products
- Administration of the environmental monitoring program
- Participates in investigations laboratory testing deviations as needed
- Equipment/method troubleshooting
- Equipment validation, qualification, calibration, and preventative maintenance
- Maintenance of the data archives and samples
- Assist in performing method transfers and method qualifications
- Development of a system for logging and tracking of the samples
- Documents and reviews laboratory work using laboratory notebooks and worksheets that is detailed, timely, and in compliance with GLP/cGMP requirements
- Assists in documenting all changes in change control system
- Compiles data to support trending program
- Assists in writing, reviewing, and revising standard operating procedures (SOPs), forms, microbial data deviation reports, change controls, protocols, summary reports, and other documents as assigned
- Request the purchase of chemicals and laboratory supplies as needed
- Possess the ability to identify, analyze, and work towards correcting potential hazards
- Maintains all standards of hygiene and safety in the laboratory area
- Performs/facilitates quality audits on procedures and documents used to perform procedures
- Participates in QA functions as needed and assigned by the Quality Manager
- Participates in quality management system requirements including following departmental work instructions, creating records, document control, and addressing corrective and preventative actions as needed
- Maintains retention storage of all products/product component(s) and reagents
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree (A.S.) from two-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training;
- OR Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university
