Job Summary: Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and providing quality control inspections for all assigned utility/facility/area. Job Duties: Conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log which includes Implements and helps maintain the Quality Control (QC) and Safety Plans that are tailored to the contract and encompass all facets of the functional operation of the contract.
Plans, organizes, and provides QC inspections for all assigned utilities/facilities/areas. Identifies and works compliance issues as they apply to the functional operation of this contract. Inspects work for discrepancies in accordance with the QA/QC plan and contract requirements.
Conducts inspections of contract functions to ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Completes necessary inspection reports and documentation required to support findings. Focuses on maintaining a quality compliant workplace.
Helps maintain the CMMS, its associated databases and update as required to provide for accurate reports regarding QA/QC. Assists in developing & disseminating plans and procedures for the QA/QC program and/or operating policies. Assists in reviewing site work to verify compliance in accordance with applicable plans, procedures, guides, and regulations Assists in preparing incident reports and document analysis, cause/effect and actions taken (photos as required).
Assists in monitoring the performance of subcontractors with respect to QA/QC. Plans and organizes work to meet schedules and timelines in an environment with constantly changing priorities. Assists in the preparation and presentation of weekly/monthly Progress Reports.
Responds to emergency site maintenance as required or requested. Originates necessary documents, forms, reports, etc. and queries various computer work systems to extract information concerning projects, materials, or services.
Ensures timely submission of required reports to the customer. Conduct QA/QC meetings and training when requested; develops training materials as required. Maintains effective working relationships in cooperation with the Jacobs/GCR WSBOS management team to meet the mission objectives of the contract.
Keeps Quality Manager apprised of any unique situations and problems encountered. Inspects completed and in-progress work in order to ensure appropriate standards are met for the functional areas of contract performance. Interfaces with government officials to address concerns and mediate resolutions to problems.
Provides reports measuring company quality control activity as required by the contract. Performs audits and inspections of internal processes and controls, evaluating the effectiveness of programs. Audits processes to ensure they comply with standards and customer requirements consistent with established procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned. Safety Requirements: Actively participate in the GCR & Project Occupational Safety & Health Program. Perform all assigned work in a safe and reasonable manner that avoids preventable injury to you, co-workers, customers and/or members of the public.
Perform all assigned work in a safe and reasonable manner that avoids preventable damage to GCR, customer, Government and/public property or equipment. Immediately report unsafe conditions in your work area. Immediately report all occupational injuries, and/or property damage to your supervisor or appropriate management representative.
Use and enforce the wearing of personal protective equipment. Wear a seatbelt anytime you are operating or are a passenger in an assigned company, government vehicle or riding in a privately owned motor vehicle while performing assigned work activities/acting as an agent of GCR. Not be unfit to work due to the presence, ingestion, consumption or inhalation of illegal drugs, prescribed medications, over-the-counter drugs and/or alcohol.
Machines, Tools and Equipment Used: Computer, Scanner, Printer, Phone Mandatory: Ability to obtain & maintain a "Secret" Security Clearance Associate degree in engineering technology or related field. Additional experience may be substituted for education on the basis of two (2) years' experience for each year of education. Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract. U.S.
Citizenship. Have the ability to communicate satisfactorily both orally and in writing in the English Language. Be able to constructively interact with associates, subordinates, support staff and senior management.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Attention to detail and problem solving skills. Preferred: BS or BA in Engineering technology or related field preferred.
Quality control inspection experience in a service environment. ISO Internal Auditor certification highly desirable. Advanced skills in Excel and Access are preferred.
