Description
Pressco Products is a small manufacturing company that produces quality machining, stamping, fabrication, and minor assembly of aerospace components with pride and excellence. This job will focus on performing incoming/receiving inspections, final inspections, FAI documentation, maintaining inspection documents, and assisting the Quality Manager.
Job Duties and Essential Functions:
- Part Inspection
- Perform incoming/receiving inspection of OSP parts ensuring specifications are met.
- Perform inspections for final production parts ensuring specifications are met.
- Review OSP certificates with appropriate specs and revision levels.
- Prepare documentation for OSP vendor purchase orders.
- Prepare documentation for final shipments to customers.
- Knowledge and use of inspection tools, gauges, and measuring devices.
- Acknowledge and record required adjustments, requests, and/or confirm part re-works.
- Conducts First Article Inspections (FAI) and create the complete FAI document package.
- Manage FAI document control functions, resources, and form libraries.
- Follow FAI procedures as set by Customers, Quality Manager, and AS9100 Standards.
- Process FAI's using the customer/company portal. (Net-Inspect)
- Escalate Quality Assurance discrepancies, re-works, rejections and QN's to the QA Manager efficiently.
- Maintain quality department documents.
- Scanning, Filing, Archiving.
- Inspection reports, waste logs, and rejection/approval records.
- Processing PCM requests, storage, and maintenance.
- Assist the Quality Manager with various tasks as assigned including but not limited to:
- Training records
- Audit and project assistance
- Policy and procedure documentation
- Tool calibration, records, and maintenance
Requirements
- Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO9001, and ITAR standards and regulations.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Technician and/or Quality Inspection in a manufacturing industry.
- Skills should include:
- Blueprint and bubble drawing interpretation
- Inspection-related mathematical skills
- Metrology and use of measuring equipment (is a plus)
- Proficient knowledge of computers and technology
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Adobe Pro
- Knowledge of Infor Visual is a plus. We will train on the software.
- Knowledge of Discus is a plus. We will train on the software.
- Ability to multitask and change gears quickly, working in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and critical thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with active listening.
- Must be fluent in English.
- High School Diploma
- Preferred higher education with industry-specific training (formal or on-the-job training).
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent attendance and time management. (First or Mid-Shift)
- Standing, sitting, and bending for extended periods in a machine shop/office environment.
Salary Description
$21-$26 DOE
