GovCIO is currently hiring for automation engineer to develop the automation test suite for a customer facing government application. This position will be located in Alexandria VA and will be fully remote position.
Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment to ensure that the product will perform to specifications. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating the product. Designs test cases for test plans and creates test scenarios in which tests are carried out. Compiles data, defines required changes and reports defects and problems that occurred during the test process. Implements and participates in the walkthrough of the product.
- Create, design, and maintain automated test suites framework via Selenium WebDriver.
- Collaborate with software developers, Quality Assurance engineers, and project managers to ensure high-quality software releases.
- Analyze user requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Write clear and concise test cases and scripts.
- Execute, assess, and report test results for manual and automated test cases.
- Develop test case to scrap data from UI and API and DB to compare for validation.
- Checking for security vulnerabilities.
- Performance testing.
- Detect and analyze software flaws, and engage with developers to find solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging testing tools, trends, and methodologies.
- Setting up Git repo, Git pipeline and configure and maintain.
- Integrate Git pipeline with test pipeline, making pipeline parameterized.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's with 5 years (or commensurate experience) Selenium WebDriver, Java, spring boot, and other programming languages.
- Clearance Required: Must be able to acquire and maintain a Public Trust Suitability
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of automated testing tools like TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber, Page object model, Rest service, microservice, API testing.
- JMeter, Canary, AWS basic knowledge.
- Oracle, MySQL database, data integrity, table, view, function, procedure, trigger, Primary key, Foreign keys, Relationship between tables.
- Familiarity of version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of agile development techniques like Scrum and Kanban.
- Strong problem-solving skills.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
