HOW SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST/APPLICATIONS TESTER WILL MAKE AN IMPACTA successful candidate will work with software engineers and developers in an Agile development environment to test and deploy system upgrades.This position requires a motivated professional with an eagerness to contribute to the team's high-quality deliverables.The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for developing and maintaining test plans and test cases, including functional testing, integration, and regression testing.They will be expected to work cohesively with other IT testers, collaborate with testers from other teams, participate and contribute to peer reviews and actively contribute to process improvements WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Required Experience and Skills:Documented experience of software testing tools and processes.Experience developing repeatable test procedures, executing test scripts and documenting results.Must be comfortable working with software developers to identify and resolve defects.Documented experience working with GitHub, JIRA and Confluence.Documented experience meeting with stakeholders, analyzing requirements, user stories and related artifacts, and translating these into test plans and well-defined acceptance criteria.Development and presentation of technical documentation, test cases, test reports, test data sets and other briefing materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directed.Participating in the team’s Agile software development process and adhering to all reporting requirements.Working with other enterprise service programs and other test teams to coordinate integration testing of their capabilities that will be consumed in the final system implementation.Working with other performance and security test teams as appropriateSecurity Clearance Level: TS/SCI + PolyPreferred Skills:Developing automated test scripts (Selenium or other).Java development skills to integrate testing componentsLocation: On Site GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn fromRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays
