Job Description
The Quality Manager provides quality inspection for all materials received for the production of all pumps, feeders, sub-assemblies, etc
. Duties and Responsibilities
• Monitor the production floor for possible quality issues and ensure personnel are using proper assembly methods.
• Investigate any customer quality issues as assigned by the Director of Operations
• Document, monitor, and report non-conforming product.
• Isolate non-conforming product and carry out final disposition
• Manager calibration program
• Responsible for documentation and tracking of equipment requiring calibration
• Perform spot-checks on equipment and arrange annual calibration
• Track inspection due dates
• Maintain calibration certificates
• Monitor and log inspections from machine shop, injection molding, and all assembly/warehouse personnel
• Monitor and document warranty and non-warranty repair and re-works
• Coordinate training for new production employees
• Act as liaison to vendors concerning quality issues
• Update and maintain quality-related work station instructions for production areas
Required Skills
• Computer proficiency with a system in a network computer environment
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Be knowledgeable in the use of precision instruments, micrometers, calipers, etc
. • Be knowledgeable in the use of Coordinate Measuring Machines and Image Measurement Systems
