Cgp: Payroll Representative

Join a dynamic and fast-paced team as a Payroll Specialist at our client and help support the payroll process and reconciliation efforts! We're seeking a candidate with strong payroll knowledge, including garnishments, tax levies, and child support orders, and at least 3-5 years of experience in a payroll environment. This position is for a contract role lasting 6 months, with the possibility of converting to a direct hire position. Emphasis will be placed on Garnishments and Verification of Employment (VOE's) as key requirements for the role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $32 to $35 per hour.
Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for a multi-state workforce
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of garnishments and verifications of employment (VOE's)
• Maintain payroll records and prepare payroll reports
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
• Collaborate with the HR team to resolve payroll-related issues
• Stay up-to-date with state and federal laws and regulations related to payroll

Qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in a payroll environment.
• Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
