What Are We Looking For?
GOBankingRates is looking for a Quality Assurance Intern for our 2024 GOInterns Program! As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will be responsible for executing black box testing on a number of web-based projects.
This is a minimum 16-week internship beginning in Spring that will provide hands-on experience working on challenging real-world problems that will help build your expertise and resume!
How Will You Make an Impact?
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies with software developers and product owners(or business analysts).
- Collaborate with the team throughout the agile processes to identify issues and gaps during the early stages of a user story.
- Help product owners to write clear and concise acceptance criteria for the user stories in gherkin/BDD format.
- Perform both manual and automation testing of our applications with cross-browser and cross-device testing Build testing solutions and troubleshoot issues in order to deliver high-quality products.
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts using Selenium Web Driver with PHP in BDD format to reduce repetitive manual testing.
- Review regression/smoke test results, troubleshoot, and report any issues during build verifications Identify gaps in the current test coverage and future test implementation(s).
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Computer Science Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- 1+ years of experience with agile software development testing, reviewing user stories, acceptance criteria, and other available information in order to develop test plans and test scenarios, both manual and automated.
- 1+ years automation engineering experience with any tool like Selenium WebDriver/ALM/Katalon studio/Test Studio/MTM using JavaScript 1+ years of experience with a BDD framework like Cucumber/Protractor.
- 1+ years of experience supporting at least biweekly deployments to Production, and having QA Automation integrated with CI/CD pipeline. 1+ years of experience with CI/CD Tools like GitLab/Jenkins/Bamboo/CircleCi.
- 1+ Experience with testing Web Applications in cross-browser and cross-device using automated tools like Browserstack/SauceLabs/LambdaTest (does not include manually certifying on real/virtual platforms) Excellent interpersonal and written communication and organizational skills.
Nice To Have
- Experience with any AI-driven automation Tool Automated tests using Visual Testing Tools. Knowledge of Cloud services like AWS S3, AWS CloudFront, AWS Device Farm, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with API testing - manual (using tools like Postman/swagger) & automated (REST Assured/CURL). Knowledge of writing complex SQL queries.
