The Quality Assurance Analyst I estimates, prioritizes, plans and coordinates testing activities along with identifying, recording, thoroughly documenting and tracking bugs.
Other responsibilities may include performing thorough functional testing on feature branches when bugs are resolved, applying testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs, review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. With assistance from team members, the Quality Assurance Analyst I supports the triage process (both with end users and within the team), provides troubleshooting, problem analysis, debugging, and resolution of assigned system issues.

Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Assures data integrity and system survivability by developing and maintaining Disaster Recovery plans for the identity management systems, understands and approves back up procedures, business continuity/high availability, tests DR plans and system restores, and maintains current data in DR databases and tools
- Provides effective user training and support
- Provides troubleshooting, problem analysis, debugging, and resolution of assigned system issues
Information Assurance
- Knowledgeable of and adheres to Children's Hospital policies, processes, procedures, standards, and guidelines governing privacy, security, and disaster recovery/business continuity
- Develops, implements, tests and/or maintains systems following IS Information Assurance policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines and industry standards to address security, privacy, and disaster recovery/business continuity needs to protect Children's Hospital information and resources at established, defined levels
- Actively protects sensitive, classified, and confidential information
- Uses and accesses systems and information only for authorized purposes and in accordance with security procedures and guidelines to perform job duties as assigned
- Maintains individual accountability for security controls and measures (e.g., individual passwords are not shared with other users)
- Reports suspected security and/or privacy incidents following established Children's Hospital procedures
- Follows established procedures to conduct reviews and audits of systems and information for assigned areas of responsibility
- Maintains systems to keep information and resources secure and safe from known vulnerabilities to include updating applications and systems with security patches and code updates, applying appropriate virus protection, and testing changes before placing into production environments

- Sets the example and provides leadership when working with other IS staff in functional or cross-functional teams to meet goals, objectives, and responsibilities

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases
- Knowledge of working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- 1-3 years of experience in IT, healthcare experience preferred
