Nth Degree and Fern Exposition Services have joined forces to form a tradeshow industry juggernaut, providing management, labor, and event production for many of the nation’s top shows! Due to the merging of these two companies, we need to add an IT Quality Assurance Analyst.
The IT Quality Assurance Analyst will play a pivotal role in the software delivery process to deliver superior quality software solutions. As a part of the Nth Degree IT Team, this role will be instrumental in managing testing efforts, provide guidance/oversight to the group (both development and business partners), manage the testing scheduling, and execution of the testing plans to ensure meeting targeted delivery dates with a high level of quality. The position will entail interacting with technical leads, business analysts, project managers, developers, and members of the business team to fully define and document testing requirements, documentation needs, meeting policy requirements with respect to testing efforts and efficient execution of test plans to meet demanding schedule requirements.
You will report directly to the VP of Technology and be based out of Fern's corporate office in Cincinnati OH. We do function in a hybrid capacity; typically, two days in the office, three days remote.
What You’ll Do:
· Clearly communicate with other teams to understand and define testing requirements.
· Develop/create test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports on multiple projects of varying size.
· Validating that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.
· Reviewing user requirements documents to ensure that requirements are testable.
· UAT defect tracking and subsequent reporting.
· Create/maintain multiple test environments and test data sets.
· Gatekeeping efforts to ensure corporate policy is maintained.
· Creating related documentation user guides, release notes, etc.
Who You Are:
· Minimum 4+ years in an IT QA Analyst role
· Experience using test automation platforms such as Selenium and RSpec.
· Proficient working in a Microsoft Windows environment, web-based applications, and dealing with hardware and software compatibility issues.
· Excellent knowledge of SQL.
· Extensive experience developing formal testing processes using standard testing methodologies and performing software failure analysis.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving and fault isolation skills.
· Outstanding written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
Nice to Haves:
· Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Mobile Application frameworks.
· Experience with Azure DevOps.
· Can-do attitude with a focus on meeting tight delivery dates with impeccable quality.
· Ability to work independently under limited direction.
· Participate as an active member of a small group.
· Strong attention to detail, self-starter with the ability to motivate self and co-workers.
· Higher education or certifications specializing in Computer Science or Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) related field (e.g., Information Technology, Information Science, etc.)
· Related industry experience.
