The QA Testing Analyst for the Cybersecurity applications will work as part of the larger team to help ensure the quality, performance and excellence of the solutions provided to our business partners.
Detailed Description:
This role is a senior analyst position that requires the individual to have the aptitude to learn and to participate in the development of test cases, test scripts and test data. The team will look to this individual to lead, assist in software releases on an on-going basis and help execute the tasks and activities of the broader testing team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the BSA and Development teams in the analysis and review of requirements
- Actively participate in the review of design specifications
- Create test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts mapped to requirements, workflow, and system design documents to ensure proper coverage
- Conduct testing using HNB manual and/or automated test processes
- Executes test scripts, communicates and records results
- May run database queries in order to supply data validation within test scripts
- Update test cases based upon approved change requests
- Work with BSAs and Development teams on defect analysis and triage
- Work with scrum team to meet established target dates and completion of activities/deliverables under changing conditions
- Provide Project Test Lead with input for weekly status reports
- Collaborate with Project Test Lead on the creation and review of the Test Strategy
- Collaborate with Project Test Lead on estimating the test efforts
- Comply with Huntington's standards of the SDLC, and adhere to testing strategies & procedures within the industry standard
- Works under significant supervision of a QA Manager or QA Analyst Lead
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of QA or UAT testing experience with industry standard testing/development and Quality Assurance methodologies and validation processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong technical knowledge with a good understanding of software development principles (e.g., object-oriented programming), QA Framework/Basic Test Methodology and project lifecycles (e.g.,SDLC)
- Experience working in Agile environment
- Strong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn and understand business and software solutions within security organization
- Ability to effectively communicate and present quality, compliance and risk issues to project team members
- Ability to build strong partnerships and to work collaboratively with all business and IT areas
