Summary of Position Mission
This position collaborates closely with manufacturing and product development to identify and resolve production and quality system deficiencies as well as assists with the development, review, and approval of process and equipment validation qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Clear understanding of GD&T
- Assists in defining, developing, maintaining, and supporting various MANUFACTURING quality programs along with their performance measurements and reporting requirements
- Conduct and teach problem solving activities to address quality and process improvement opportunities
- Develop and maintain standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation
- Investigate product quality problems and determine root cause, gather and analyze data, and implement corrective actions to reduce or eliminate cause
- Perform process capability studies or special studies necessary to increase control and decrease total quality costs
- Plan and oversee the analysis, inspection, design and test of products to assure the quality of the parts and products
- Perform quality engineering review of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and Company quality records
- Utilizes test equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, Rockwell Testers, Surface Plate, Optical Comparator and CMM
