Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Analyst's primary objective is to support the development, implementation and administration of APMC's quality Assurance program. Responsibilities include working closely with the QC Manager and staff in addition to production staff and management. The QC Analyst will be responsible for validating audit results. This would include making recommendations on rebuttal arguments from production underwriters and providing timely follow-up. To assist with developing a methodology for reporting audit results and generating user friendly reports that can guide management decisions with regards to consistency in loan quality.
Key Job Duties/Accountabilities:
• Collect, analyze and interpret in-process data to evaluate the effectiveness of existing audit/review activities.
• Prepare audit responses and monitor for resolution.
• EPD/Delinquency follow-up and tracking
• Identify and maintain discretionary audit selections, prefund and post close.
•Track trends and provide data in regular reports
• Liaison between Quality Control staff, production staff and third-party vendors.
• Monitor third party vendor performance and report deficiencies to QC Management.
•Prepare reports as required by Agencies, guidelines, and/or in compliance with the QC Plan
•Assist with special projects
•Positively engage with co-workers and other associates to help educate and provide solutions to issues that may arise with systems, processes, or from information obtained from responses to audit findings
•Other QC Department tasks or projects as requested or assigned
Knowledge and Skills
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential mortgage lending, with processing, underwriting, funding and/or operations.
•Direct expertise in Quality Assurance functions is desired.
•Strong MS Excel skills
•Strong analytical and investigative skills
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Attention to detail
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, make decisions, and work under tight deadlines
•Advanced computer skills including MS Office/Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and QA audit applications desired.
•Knowledge of underwriting guidelines a plus.
