Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst to join our team. The Systems Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our organization's operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business processes, and expertise in various technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing systems, business processes, and user needs to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Collaborate with both stakeholders and technical Business Analysts to refine requirements and user stories, ensuring clear and concise communication between technical and non-technical teams
- Partner with technical architects and technical team leaders to design innovative and scalable solutions and approach that meets business objectives and aligns with industry best practices and standards including:
- New software development, software enhancements,
- Back-end automated business logic,
- Real-time and batch interfaces to external systems,
- Reports analysis, data entry screens, decision support tools
- Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software product configurations/customizations.
- Translate complex concepts and process workflows into detailed requirements and conditions that clearly communicate business needs.
- Develop detailed system specifications, including data models, workflow diagrams, and system interfaces.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technology solutions, considering factors such as cost, feasibility, and scalability.
- Emphasize direct business impact and work closely with programmers and IT staff to ensure accurate implementation.
- Share system and program knowledge effectively with both existing and newly onboarded team members in addition to providing support for user training to facilitate smooth adoption and utilization of new systems.
- Provide subject matter expertise to business analysts, developers, and quality assurance testers where needed, mentoring team members as appropriate.
- Coordinate with software developers, engineers, and other IT professionals to implement and deploy solutions in a timely manner.
- Partner with testing teams and quality assurance to ensure the reliability and performance of developed systems.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and industry developments to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience as a Systems Analyst, with a focus on healthcare IT and government contracts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Proficiency in system analysis techniques, such as requirements elicitation, process modeling, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of the Agile methodology
- Experience with various programming languages, databases, and development tools
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
- Proven experience in successfully leading and delivering complex enterprise projects.
- Strong knowledge of EDI, HL7, and healthcare provider data management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a healthcare or government contracting environment is highly desirable.
