ChampionX is seeking a Purchasing Coordinatorto support our manufacturing facility located in NW Houston. This role will oversee the procurement process for the Spirit Global Energy Solutions. The role will analyzes purchasing information and presents findings for process improvement and cost reduction while maintaining high quality product and/or service delivery.

What You Will Do:
Manage and procure inventory and supplies.
Issue Purchase Orders to vendors, verifying accuracy and required detail.
Manage inventory levels and support the inventory audit process.
New vendor setup into Oracle.
Collaborates with vendors and contractors to obtain price quotations, product availability, delivery schedules, and quality considerations.
Supports purchasing management in activities such as price benchmarking, vendor management, process analysis, market and industry research, and model building.
Interacts with suppliers about payments and order fulfillment; resolves payment issues.
Manage aging of Purchase Orders & review utilization.
Establish and own the progress of KPI’s for purchasing.
Consistently applies purchasing policies, procedures, and processes.
Contributes to the department continuous improvements on procurement process and reporting on performance.
Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of experience in a Procurement/Purchasing role or similar responsibilities within manufacturing
Good customer services & communication skills
Strong computer skills, particularly with web-based ERP systems, Microsoft Outlook, and proficient in Microsoft Excel
Must be very organized, able to work with strict deadlines, persistent in obtaining desired feedback from suppliers

Preferred Qualifications:
2 year associate degree strongly preferred.
