The Purchase to Pay (P2P) team at Texas Instruments (TI) is part of the Worldwide Procurement & Logistics (WPL) organization. Our mission is to merge vendor master setup, tactical purchasing, accounts payable, and expense statements into one efficient organization. Our Dallas team is looking for an individual who is passionate about creating value beyond transactional efficiency. This role include working closely with global teams in Freising, Germany; Baguio City, Philippines; and Shanghai, China.
Job Purpose/Responsibilities:
- Create purchase orders for goods and services following standard processes and cycle time expectations.
- Review and analyze purchase requisitions and quotes for completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain a queue of incoming purchase requisitions.
- Update delivery schedules and pricing based on vendor acknowledgments.
- Execute PO change requests promptly.
- Interface effectively with vendors, accounts payable, vendor master, and logistics departments.
- Resolve problems related to invoices, supplier maintenance, and receiving discrepancies.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to manage orders based on lead times, business needs, and price changes.
- Diligently understand and follow TI policies and business rules related to purchasing activities.
- Develop a strong understanding of all P2P processes.
- Support and contribute to global P2P priorities.
- Utilize reports to work and resolve issues as identified.
- Respond to vendor and internal TI inquiries or issues promptly.
- Use knowledge gained from daily activities to recommend process improvements.
- Understand the impact of process changes outside of P2P.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with transactional processes or data entry in SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Intermediate level of computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Outlook, SharePoint, and Excel.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to manage time and execute tasks efficiently.
- Capacity to work independently and within a team environment, follow directions, troubleshoot, and meet goals and objectives.
- Meticulous attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Confidence in approaching and communicating with internal and external stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous professional data entry experience preferred.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to make quick decisions.
- The ability to think critically and understand complex or ambiguous situation
