Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistic Coordinator to join our team. As a Logistic Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation and movement of goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and efficient operations. Your role will involve coordinating with suppliers, managing shipments, and optimizing logistics processes. Responsibilities:
- Function as export coordinator with own targets set by team lead/department manager
- Acknowledge incoming export orders from customers and ensure correct order intake into our operating system
- Arrange booking of ocean vessels and drayage for export containers and update systems accordingly
- Enter shipment information in our operating system as well as the customer’s systems
- Shipment status tracking and monitoring: continuously monitor the export shipment and report irregularities
- Conduct AES filings and shipping instructions to carriers
- Prepare and deliver export documents such as Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.
- Maintain quality standard for operational export procedures and improve them where necessary
- Read e-mails several times daily and reply to all emails daily
- Assist Managing Director / Department Manager in creating a professional yet friendly business environment in the office
- Commit to get orders completed in compliance with KPI. Take all possible action to complete orders and log corresponding Non-Conformances if third-parties are preventing order completion within KPI
Skills:
- Strong work ethics with high attention to detail
- Ideally relevant work experience in logistics (freight forwarding, steamship line, or similar)
- Ideally good knowledge of ocean export booking and documentation processes
- Strong team player who performs well in a fast-paced work environment
- People and customer-oriented with strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office and fast type writing skills
- Pro-active approach to all issues
