Purchasing Coordinator (PC)
Job Description
Reports directly to whom:
Purchasing Manager
Directly supervises whom/what:
Tasks associated with purchasing
Role:
Assists with the administrative tasks of the construction department, mainly related to purchasing equipment and materials
Tasks and Duties:
- Handle all permits for Construction & SVC jobs.
- Register equipment and homeowner books.
- Find prices for quotes to be prepared by sales and installation managers.
- Update/Line item purchase orders
- Follow up on back orders/receiving
- Invoice research (if AP is looking for a backup if it wasn't given or it is lost)
- Assisting to field Home Depot/Tech counter PO's
- Coordinates shipping and receiving of equipment and materials for multiple departments.
- Handle all call-in requests for materials from the field staff, making purchases as needed and arranging delivery/pickup.
- Enter POs against the job on the dispatch board.
- Handle any backordered materials as needed.
- Handle warranties and returns as needed.
- Reconcile accounts as need with the accounting department
- Update Service Titan with installed equipment data (model # and serial #)
Job Requirements:
- Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to work overtime if needed (and approved)
- Excellent customer service principles and practices.
- Skill in operating personal computer and programs such as database, word processing, and industry specific software.
- Skill in operating a multi-line phone system.
- Skill in verbal and written communication.
- Ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug test

Experience:
Preferred 2 years of construction experience working in a customer service or administrative role.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to see well enough to read reports, data, statistics, drawings and information on a computer screen.
- Must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate on the telephone and in person.
- Must be able to use your fingers for grasping, feeling, and be able to operate a computer and calculator.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift to 10 pounds and reach. May be required to do limited carrying, lifting, pushing, or pulling.
