The Public Relations Director leads enterprise strategy for managing, advancing, and protecting organization reputation and brand. Leads the development of advocacy-related Public Relations programs, strategies, and tactics to build relationships with key community and thought leaders and policymakers to advance organization initiatives. This person will develop and maintain enterprise strategy for Issue management and advance and protect the organization’s brand. This person will set strategy and implement advocacy-related media relations efforts and campaigns tied to economic policy. They will also write media-facing documents that are often complex, technical or sensitive in nature. - Develops and maintains enterprise strategy for managing, advancing, and protecting the organization’s reputation and brand.
- Sets strategy and implements advocacy-related media relations efforts and campaigns
- Helps develop partnerships to enhance the organization’s reputation, positioning, engagement, and reach.
- Writes media-facing documents that are often complex, nuanced, technical, or sensitive in nature.
- Provides complex project management, including work with vendors.
- Provides senior-level counsel and support to executives and leadership in all media interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years experience.
- Experience with economic policy communications at the national level.
- Background conceiving ideas to drive support for policy initiatives helping older adults with financial security.
- Has significant and meaningful relationships with reporters that can be leveraged for media placement.
- Prior work experience at a large advocacy organization or policy-focused environment.
