We are committed to work life balance by promoting this HYBRID TELEWORK opportunity. These job requirements allow the employee to work at a Lockheed Martin-designated office or job site for part of their schedule and has a predefined regular, recurring telework schedule for the remaining part of their work schedule.
As the most lethal, survivable, and connected fighter aircraft in the world, the F-35 strengthens national security, enhances global partnerships, and powers economic growth. The F-35 Training and Logistics (T&L) team is seeking high-performing Proposal Managers to manage proposal efforts in response to RFP (Request for Proposal), RFIQ (Request for Intra-Lockheed Quotation), and related types of solicitations used on the F-35 program. Serving as key members of proposal Core Teams, Proposal Managers manage the proposal process as it applies to specific proposal efforts, planning and coordinating the production and delivery of compliant proposals in response to solicitation specifications. Prop Managers provide proposal process guidance to a diverse, often geographically-dispersed team of cross-functional personnel. They are also responsible for providing proposal status and other data to inform program metrics.
Level 3 Proposal Managers generally function autonomously given broad guidance and oversight.
Preferred individuals will be self-motivated, quick learners with demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring the ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently - balancing often-shifting proposal priorities across multiple proposal efforts (and programmatic demands). Due to the composition of proposal teams, Proposal Managers must be familiar with associated functional area involvement/responsibilities as they relate to prop production (e.g., program management, engineering, cost estimating, sourcing, contracts).
Success in performing this position begins with the individual's ability to manage multiple priorities and foster/maintain effective communication. The Candidate must be able to understand proposal requirements from both a schedule and deliverables standpoint. Key success drivers are the demonstrated ability to: 1) recognize potential risks to on-time and compliant proposal delivery, 2) formulate workable solutions within (and often across) proposal teams, and 3) communicate those concerns and risk mitigation strategies to leadership.
