The coordinator is responsible for enhancing program quality through staff and program development, and provision of services to strengthen the social and emotional capacities of Day Care children.
Primary responsibilities include implementation of a competency-based core training program for Day Care staff; ongoing coaching and supervision of Day Care staff; assessment of social and mental health needs of Day Care children, and coordination of appropriate interventions.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in school age program development
- Supervisory experience and strong leadership skills
- Experience developing and facilitating training for adult learners.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with staff, parents, children, school personnel, and oversight agencies.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills
- Sensitivity and responsiveness to the cultural differences in the staff and client populations
